Over The Wall

News on our Dorset and Scotland 2019 camps will be available to view shortly.

Kabir published his first book with us during his stay at the Over The Wall Camp in 2012. He has since published his second book - 'The Loss of a Loved One' and is currently working on an exciting cook book!

Chocolate Muffin provided Creative Writing workshops to Over The Wall Children's Camps.

Over The Wall provide free therapeutic residential activity camps to children affected by serious or life limiting illnesses across the UK. Chocolate Muffin's delivery was always wonderful, full of passion with a light-hearted but focussed approach which resulted in everyone attending the sessions coming out with completed books with a smile on their face, even those that claimed to hate writing! The therapeutic benefits were clear in the results, as the children and young people enjoyed expressing themselves and their stories in their books, with the proud knowledge that they would then become published authors in their own right. Chocolate muffin were professional and friendly from beginning to end, and always made an extra effort to accommodate any needs we brought to them. I would highly recommend their workshops to anyone with an interest and a pen!"

Jenn Ewing - Assistant Camp Director of Over The Wall

I have known Kate for many years now, she has demonstrated an exceptional service and provided fantastic support to her clients. Kate always goes the extra mile, far and beyond for everyone, whilst maintaining excellent leadership skills and providing excellent training and staff development. She has provided an outstanding service on all my projects, I now only work with her company, Chocolate Muffin Publishing, an organisation I know I can trust. Highly recommended!

Our son Daniel is now in his 4th year of remission after a battle with A.L.L. Leukaemia. During his treatment we visited a camp called "Over The Wall". While there, Daniel wrote a book which was published by Kate Day and her amazing company "Chocolate Muffin". Daniel has since been in the local press and appeared on stage at another charity event (Y Kids) to explain how he came to write a book, which we provided for free to this charity event for other inspirational children. Kate allowed us to buy scores of books at cost price as so many friends, family, teachers and even our local cinema wanted copies!!
Kate gave Daniel a huge sense of achievement we never thought was possible. We conversed via email and spoke a few times. She took / takes a genuine interest in Daniel and all in our family owe her a great deal of gratitude. She is an amazing woman, with a great drive to succeed."
