We saw children who grew distressed at the thought of trying something new, grow in confidence and show pride in their work.

The children go to their library to find their books, they can read them without having learnt to read yet, because they know the story, giving them independence and providing a sound basis for literary development.

The process including the writing process, sharing their success with classmates and with parents, should provide a connection and engage these young people with reading and writing!

I can't think of a better way to build interest in books than being able to choose your very own story for Mum or Dad to read before bed.
